The World Says Secure Your Future. God Says Secure Your Soul.

Here is something that will expose the lie most business leaders are living.

You are chasing the wrong kind of security.

You spend your time building reserves. Getting better contracts. Buying more insurance. Protecting your assets. Diversifying your investments. Planning for every contingency. Building walls around everything you have.

And you call it wisdom. But it is not wisdom. It is fear dressed up as prudence.

Matthew 6:33 says it plainly. "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Notice what Jesus does not say. He does not say secure your future first. He does not say build your safety net first. He does not say protect yourself first. He does not say get your financial house in order first and then maybe think about God.

He says seek first the kingdom. Seek first His righteousness. Seek first Him. And then everything else will be added.

This is the opposite of how the world operates. The world says secure yourself first. The world says build your safety net. The world says protect what you have. The world says look out for number one.

That is not what God says. God says seek Him first. And He will take care of everything else.

Here is the problem. Most business leaders are frantic. They are chasing safety. They are running after security. They are exhausting themselves trying to protect what they have. They are spending all their energy building walls when they should be building the kingdom.

And the harder they chase security, the less secure they actually feel. Because security is not in what you have. Security is in who you belong to.

Think about it. You can have all the money in the world and still be terrified. You can have all the contracts and still be afraid. You can have all the insurance and still be anxious. You can have all the safeguards and still be worried.

Because nothing you can build is secure enough. Nothing you can accumulate is safe enough. Nothing you can protect is bulletproof enough. It can all be taken away in an instant. A market crash. A lawsuit. A pandemic. A betrayal. A single moment can undo years of work.

But here is what cannot be taken away. Your soul. Your relationship with God. Your place in His kingdom. Your identity in Christ. That cannot be touched by anything in this world.

And that is the only real security there is.

That is why Jesus said seek first the kingdom. Because He knows that the only security that matters is not in what you have but in who you belong to. The only security that lasts is not in your bank account but in your soul. The only security that cannot be shaken is not in your business plan but in your relationship with the One who holds all things together.

So stop chasing the wrong kind of security. Stop spending all your energy protecting what can be taken from you. Stop exhausting yourself trying to build a fortress around things that are temporary.

Seek first the kingdom. Seek first His righteousness. Seek first Him. And let Him take care of everything else.

That is the only security that actually works. Everything else is just an illusion.
