Your Business Is Struggling Because You Are Running It, Not Him.
Here is something nobody tells you about Christian business.
The reason you are exhausted is not because you are not working hard enough. It is because you are running your business like it depends on you. And it does not.
You are the branch. He is the vine. And a branch does not produce anything on its own. It just stays connected and lets the vine do the work.
Jesus said it plainly. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)
Nothing. Not less. Not something small. Nothing.
That is the part nobody wants to hear. Especially business leaders.
You have convinced yourself that your effort matters more than your connection. You think if you just work harder, plan better, execute faster, you will finally succeed. You think your strategy is what makes the difference. You think your hustle is what produces results.
But that is not what Jesus said. He said apart from Him, you can do nothing.
You are out there doing all the things everyone tells you to do. You are working on your business. You are networking. You are building systems. You are creating content. You are growing your team. You are doing everything right. And you are still exhausted. You are still anxious. You are still wondering if you are going to make it.
Because you are running your business like it is yours to run. Like it depends on you. Like it is all on your shoulders.
And it is killing you.
The truth is, most Christian business leaders are doing what everyone else is doing. They are posting about the same things. They are struggling with the same things. They are chasing the same things. They are repeating the same advice everyone else is repeating. And they are getting the same results everyone else is getting. Burnout. Anxiety. Exhaustion. And wondering why God is not showing up like they expected.
Because God never said He would bless your hustle. He said He would bless your connection. He never said your strategy would produce fruit. He said your abiding would produce fruit. He never said your effort would make you successful. He said staying connected to Him would make you fruitful.
Think about the things you post about. You post about your wins. You post about your struggles. You post about your strategies. You post about your goals. You post about your burnout. You post about your anxiety. You post about your faith. You post about your hustle.
And what is the common thread? You. Your effort. Your struggle. Your strategy. Your success. Your failure. It is all about you.
But what if the problem is not your strategy? What if the problem is not your effort? What if the problem is not your market or your competition or your finances? What if the problem is simply this. You are disconnected from the vine.
You are trying to produce fruit on your own. You are trying to build a business for God instead of letting God build a business through you. You are running on your own strength instead of drawing from His. You are a branch trying to be a vine. And it is never going to work.
So stop posting about your hustle. Start posting about your connection. Stop posting about your strategy. Start posting about your abiding. Stop posting about your burnout. Start posting about your rest in Him.
Stop trying to run your business like it depends on you. It does not. It depends on Him. And the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will stop being exhausted. The sooner you will stop being anxious. The sooner you will start actually bearing fruit.
Because apart from Him, you can do nothing. But connected to Him, you can do everything He has for you.
